About counselling services

Your privacy is a priority

Protecting your personal information is of utmost importance. Some personal information will be collected about you in order to provide services to you, but rest assured that high standards of security are used in the collection, storage, and disposal of this information. Read more in the privacy policy.

Sessions run for 60 minutes

A standard counselling session runs for 60 minutes. Notes will be taken during sessions rather than taken down after to ensure sufficient records are kept (as per requirements for Psychologists) and to optimise full use of the hour.

After hours appointments

Heather will do her best to accommodate the needs of busy working professionals. If you are finding it difficult to make time during standard appointment hours, please reach out to discuss other options. After hours appointments may attract an additional fee.

Telehealth is available

WorkLife Psychology operates on a secure online platform to enable client sessions online via video. If you are unable to get to the office, you reside outside of Brisbane, or it's more efficient to attend remotely, feel free to ask any questions you may have to see if this option would work best for you.

Counselling can help you

Speaking to a professional in a safe, private and confidential space, who is neutral and non-judgmental, can be a very helpful process. The aim is to equip you with practical tools and strategies to promote better mental health. Feedback is encouraged

There is a waitlist if needed

It can be challenging when we really would like to see someone, but it will be several weeks until a mutually suitable time can be arranged. If you are able to be flexible, you might like to ask to be waitlisted should an appointment become available sooner due to a cancellation.
