Heather Ikin
Principal & Founder @ WorkLife Psychology

I am a registered Organisational Psychologist, practicing in Australia for over 18 years. I have a unique background, with experience in internal and external consulting and advisory roles, several years working for Queensland's work health and safety and workers' compensation regulator, and private practice work. I have a depth of experience in mental health at work and people and organisational development.

What I do

I am committed to providing comprehensive support to professionals who are grappling with a variety of work-related challenges, such as excessive work pressures, relationship breakdowns, experiences of vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue, and exposure to harmful behaviours like bullying, discrimination, sexual harassment, and violence.

I understand that the nature of modern work can be complex and demanding, often leading to significant stress, poor wellbeing outcomes, and work-related psychological injuries. My approach involves recognising these pressures and offering tailored strategies and solutions that empower individuals to navigate their unique situations successfully. I empower clients not only to adopt strategies to improve their own mental health, but to consider what practical steps can be taken to address harmful working conditions and relationships.
